The hotel is situated in the very central location so close to walking to everything.

Excellent location - a two-minute walk to the main square and a 30-second elevator trip to the Heidelberg Castle cable car station. Clean and quiet room, amazing view, very good breakfast, convenient parking.

Liked the room, it was immaculately clean with 4 beds in line. We were in a marvellous location short walk to the Old Town Center, the centre of historic Heidelberg and the main attractions, shopping, restaurants and cafe shops.

Very good location, a couple of minutes from the Old Town. Plus the fact that the hotel had discounted-rate parking at a reasonable price. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was very difficult to find ! Also, once we had found the car park, the signage could be improved to indicate the actual floor needed for the hotel.

Unfortunately, our stay didn't meet our expectations. We arrived at breakfast time, and there were no available tables, which caused unnecessary delays. The breakfast area felt cramped and could not accommodate all guests.

The view for the castle and old town is amazing. Room is very clean. The balcony for the apartment room is great.

I wish that breakfast could be improved. It's ok, but not that great compared to the price and great view that the hotel provides.

Staying at Hotel am Schloss provided an lovely experience. The rooftop terrace offered fine views of Heidelberg Castle while I enjoyed breakfast under the sun. Clean, spacious rooms with private balconies added to the charm. Staff at the front desk were friendly and provided great local recommendations. I faced an issue with the breakfast area. It felt cramped, and I had to wait for a table when I arrived on time. Parking costs seemed high as well, which might deter some travelers. I appreciated the really good location in the heart of Heidelberg, easy to explore the Altstadt.

A small hotel, well located in Old Town. It's in a characterless modern building but is clean and has friendly, helpful staff. Simple but good buffet breakfast and 5 euro/day WiFi. Communal balconies are nice in the summer. It's simple but well enough done and is good value - recommended as a practical place to stay in the Old Town.

The view from this hotel is breathtaking, on one side the schloss and on the other the Neckar, with the old town of Heidelberg in between. The hotel is just the top floor of the building which makes it very quiet, even though it is located in the heart of the old town. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were always helpful.

Great location, and the view of the old town and the castle from the room's balcony was "a million dollar" view. Staff was very helpful at all times They allowed me to use my school boy German, but were ready to fill in with English when needed. Breakfast was high quality. All in all, a wonderful stay. The two bedrooms worked perfectly for us, a married couple with a collage-aged daughter.

The private balcony overlooking Heidelberg provided a perfect sunset backdrop for our evening wine and cheese. The friendly staff offered excellent restaurant recommendations, enhancing our local dining experience.

The location is incredible and the rooms are clean. The staff was very friendly. If you are looking for easy access to Old Town, this is the place.

The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms hard to navigate.

The location was excellent. You can catch the No 33 bus from the main station to right outside the hotel. This will save a taxi fare. Staff were very helpful and speak english. The hotel is within walking distance to all of the main attractions of Heidelberg.

The price is a bit expensive for the type of accomodation but this is probably due to the location. See favourable comments.
